Product Description The YPT410 combines traditional learning tools with hands-on performance features like Pitch Bend Wheel for authentic playing of guitar and horn sounds, Control Knobs that allow you to have real time control over filters, effects, EQ, tempo and an arpeggio function for techno and synthesizer keyboard playing that can automatically add the playing of notes in rapid succession in ascending and descending fashion. Awesome keyboard - but issue's with stand and headphones in the bundle December 26, 2009 Elaine 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The keyboard is great - everything we wanted and expected. That's why I gave it 5 stars. But there are issues with the other items in the bundle. The stand that was included in the bundle is not a Yamaha stand and not a great fit for this keyboard. It may be OK for adults but we have a 4 year old and it's only a matter of time before it get's bumped off the stand. We're going to buy a different stand right away. The headphones look nice but the connector on them is the wrong size for the jack on the keyboard. Going to follow up with Amazon about this issue.
Great Product!!!!! April 27, 2009 Aditya Belwadi 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Excellent keyboard for the price...as good as a full scale synth!
The stand and the headphones work like a charm. However the tutorials are not very intuitive!
Very nice instrument January 21, 2010 David E. Merrill (Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very nice keyboard for home use or a beginner/hobbyist. I have owned numerous pro keyboards and purchased this for my son to use. The sounds are a very high quality and are worlds better than the home keyboards of 10 years ago. Very light key action is to be expected but the keys are responsive and velocity sensitive. Includes some interesting performance features and a USB connection to use with the included software or as a generic MIDI input device for any sequencing software you might use. In summary, this Yamaha YPT410 is a steal for the price and I'm tempted to buy another one for myself!
Just a very good deal November 15, 2009 Fat Philly Phil (PA) I needed to upgrade my keyboard. This does everything you could possibly want. Free shippping & no tax sweetened the deal. Recommended.
Lots for the money April 25, 2010 Marcus James (Portland, OR P-USA) Full disclosure: Not a piano/keyboard player, I'm a guitarist who wants to augment my recordings. The Yamaha YPT 410 has a ton of voices, very powerful and useful, with a lot more to them than you can hear out of the built-in speakers. I hooked mine up to a decent amp and was blown away by the richness and depth. Also hooked it up to a bass amp and played the bass sounds, it's all there. If you have a vocoder pedal (mine's an electro-harmonix v256) and a mic, there are a ton of voices that sound great through it, and a sustain pedal makes this setup even better for all the other voices.
My kids love it, they can work it easily and have figured out more features than I have, pretty funny. The cool thing is that they're showing more interest in music because this thing is so approachable with the select wheel and other controls.
The headphone that comes with it is a decent quality, although for big-eared freaks like me they are uncomfortable. The stand seems good and is sturdy enough, but doesn't really fit the keyboard (not a yamaha brand made specifically for it) or keep it level. If you have other keyboards, it may work better with them.
