Just wanted to say after looking at many keyboards, my son decided on this one and we are so glad he did. This is an awesome Keyboard with loads of features and what a great price! Other sites advertised this for much more and without all the extras. What a perfect gift and the best choice. We are extremely happy with this purchase and highly reccommend it to anyone looking to buy one. My son has not stopped playing it all day and night. Lastly expected arrival date was December 29th...I ordered this yesterday Dec. 22 at noon and it arrived today Dec 23 before 11am...LESS then 24 hours! good job Amazon.com!Thanks so much...Kat

The Casio CTK-5000 is excellent value for the price. Its keyboard is responsive, the display is well-wrought, options are endless, and its sound quality across voices is remarkably fine. It is a wonderful whole package for home enjoyment.
The pounding that professional playing cannot avoid - long and hard use, with foreign material contamination and transportation damage - suggests hardware built to survive that abuse. The Casio CTK-5000 certainly has the output quality, but it is not made to be slammed around.

I am learning different songs and how to play. Sounds good. Ear phones sounds like your not wearing ear phones. Great deal, you get two music books, ear phones and stand. Other places you buy separate.

Critical Review:
The CTK-5000 is a great keyboard for those who need something better than the intro models, but aren't professional musicians. It's somewhere in between a toy and professional. For the price - you can't really beat it when looking for a new keyboard. I've been a long time CTK user, and the piano style keys are nice. If you want weighted keys, look elsewhere. Quite honestly I've preferred the feel of older casio models even though they weren't "Piano style".
The expression and tones on this keyboard are excellent for the price. I'm a former sax player, and there have been huge improvements on their various saxophones which is great. The standard drumset is pretty amazing too. Pitch wheel is their best yet, but I wish it could be better still.
The stand is great. VERY STURDY.
The headphones are garbage.
If you are a beginner - it's a good choice if money is no object. The CTK-3000 might be better for you if money is the thing....
If you are advanced and know your casios....you realize this is a great keyboard but there were things in old casios that were better.
If you want something you're really going to love and use....spend 500 on something else. If that's too much - this is your best option.
