5 out of 5 stars Great so Far   December 8, 2008

Nice keyboard, nice sound, feels like a real piano and it's got all the keys. I like that it includes a nice, stable music rest, keyboard stand, footswitch and power adaptor.

Lots of features too: fun sounds, (drum, maracas, bongos, etc. plus sound effects like phone, ufo, dog barking, etc)

It has a super metronome which you can adjust the tempo of, set the number of beats per measure, adjust volume, etc.

It records your performance which is nice, so my piano teacher can play something she wants me to learn, record it, then I can replay that when I'm practicing.

More features, too many to mention... If you'd like to start with something smaller or something less expensiv, I'd check out a Casio keyboard. Casio CTK4000 Premium Pack with Power Supply, Keyboard Stand and Professional Closed Cup Stereo Headphones, Casio LK100 Lighted Keyboard with Premium Accessories Package (this is the first one I got)

5 out of 5 stars Great Keyboard   December 27, 2008

We received the keyboard very quickly and in perfect condition - which was a concern because we are an FPO address overseas. It sounds great and the keys are semi-weighted. I doubt we will ever need to upgrade this keyboard - since it has so many features and we are recreational players. Great choice if you want something more than a standard keyboard and less than a digital piano.

This piano is amazing!!! I bought this piano a couple of weeks ago, because I wanted to learn how to play. Great piano for anybody that is looking for something that is not as expensive but still holds great quality.

this keyboard includes a music rest, sustain pedal, power adaptor and a very sturdy keyboard stand. this keyboard is amazing. i was going to buy, at one point, a casio $115 keyboard but for some reason i couldnt get myself to get it and i'm glad i didnt. this keyboard features a full 88 keys and has a lot of sounds. you can plug in a memory unit in the back and/or you can hook this yamaha up to your computer. i am still learning how to play it and i am enjoying every minute of it. this keyboard has a lot of features for the money and the speakers that come with it sound really good. some of the sounds, though, dont sound as genuine as i wish they did but im not complaining. if i had to buy this keyboard over again i would. this is on the verge of almost being a professional keyboard. if you were thinking of getting it, i advise you to get it. oh, and the instruction manual is quite thick as you can imagine.
